About the Author

Author, Carolyn Laurentus, a retired middle-school teacher of thirty-five years, is a flea market fanatic and an antique aficionado. She fills her house and numerous gardens with repurposed finds to create whimsical scenes all over her property. She loves her family, gardening, and drinking coffee with her friends. Carolyn lives in Connecticut with her boxer, Rumley, and a yard filled with fireflies.

Illustrator, Nancy Haack, grew up in a small town in Connecticut and it's in an only slightly larger small town that she and her husband raised their two daughters. In college she pursued her love of art by studying Graphic Design along with English Literature. Today, she can be found with her dog, Henry by her feet, painting illustrations for children. She is the illustrator of A Doll Like My Mommy and the upcoming Feeba the Firefly.
