Regional Interest Books
Like any good independent bookstore, we strive to find books that appeal to the readers in our area. Our local & regional interest shelves are well-stocked with titles written by local authors; nature guides for both wildlife identification and outdoor recreation opportunities; regional histories; ghost stories and folktales from Pennsylvania; and special books with ties to Wellsboro, like Wynken, Blynken & Nod.
We also carry local & regional titles which have gone out of print, and help people search for other small-run, locally-published books that may be hard to acquire at present. If you have any questions regarding the availability of local books, please call us or email us for more information!
There are some books we are not able to list for sale on the website, since they do not have an ISBN or are not available at bigger wholesalers. Although you cannot purchase them via the cart here, we are able to make payment and shipping arrangements for various out of print or non-ISBN items, including:
Chuck Dillon's hiking books for our area;
editor/author Leslie "Rabbit" Jensen's anthology, "A Woman's Angle" (created with members of the Delaware Valley Women's Fly-Fishing Association);
the Goodyear Hose Company's No. 1 Centennial Celebration Book;
Linda Stager's book, "The Pine Creek Rail-Trail Guidebook",
Steve Owlett's "Seasons Along the Tiadaghton"
....... and several others. Please contact us for availability and price.
