This volume contains biographical sketches of some 400 individuals in these counties and genealogical data on some 9,000 other families / individuals. These persons were not only from VA, TN, NC, & KY but also had large numbers of settlers from OH, PA, IN, IL, & MO along with lesser quanties from the states of DE, GA, IA, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NY, VT, WI, & WV. The New Index that was produced for this reprint mentions over 9,500 entries.
