David J. Williams was inspired to write, "I Want To Play Golf" by friends Nicole and Paul Alston who reside in New Jersey. The Alston's suffered the loss of their firstborn daughter, Skye, due to a placental abruption in 2005. Following this devastating loss they began The Skye Foundation, a national nonprofit organization that serves as an advocate for the pscyhosocial needs of bereaved families after pregnancy loss, particularly among underserved populations. A portion of the proceeds from this book will be donated to the 'Skye Foundation'. "I Want To Play Golf" is dedicated to the memory of Skye, their daughter Autumn who was born in 2008, and all of the budding golfers and aspiring talents in the world whose obstacles and challenges are outmatched by their desire and determination to achieve their goals. David is married to Michelle Gadsden-Williams and enjoys playing golf in central Europe where they spend time living and working.
