McFarlane became a true comic book superstar for his record setting work on Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man franchise, where he co-created the anti-hero Venom. Stephen Segovia is a largely self-taught artist whose professional career began in comics began at the tender age of sixteen. Since then, he's gone on to work with several publishers on a variety of titles, including Tomas en Kulas for Funny Komiks, CAST for Nautilus Comics (in his native Philippines), and Shadowmance for U.K. publisher Markosia. In the United States, he has contributed to such titles as Top Cow's TOKYO KNIGHTS, Dynamite Entertainment's Red Sonja, DC's Countdown to Mystery, and Marvel's Xtreme X-men.
