Description

The ultimate collection for fans and new readers alike—Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt’s iconic weird western, The Sixth Gun, is available for the first time in beautiful softcover omnibus editions!

In the passing shadow of the Civil War, defiant Confederate general Oliander Hume waits to be freed, too evil and warped to die, too mad with bloodlust to surrender his black magic. He hungers for his lost and most precious possession, an ancient weapon of foreboding doom. But the last and most powerful of six magical revolvers—and the key to unlocking unstoppable power—has fallen into the hands of an innocent girl, Becky Montcrief. The gunslinger at her side, Drake Sinclair, is no white knight and is himself on the hunt for the six legendary guns . . .

This volume collects The Sixth Gun #1–17 from master storytellers Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, The Empty Man), Brian Hurtt (The Damned, Manor Black), and Tyler Crook (Harrow County, Petrograd), and The Sixth Gun: Sons of the Gun #1–5, illustrated by Brian Churilla (Godzilla, Hellbreak).

About the Author

Cullen Bunn is the writer of comic books such The Sixth Gun, Shadow Roads, The Damned, and Helheim for Oni Press. He has also written titles including Harrow County (Dark Horse), Uncanny X-Men, and Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe (Marvel). Cullen claims to have worked as an alien autopsy specialist, rodeo clown, pro wrestling manager, and sasquatch wrangler. He has fought for his life against mountain lions and performed on stage as the world’s youngest hypnotist. Buy him a drink sometime and he'll tell you all about it.

Brian Hurtt is an artist/writer who has spent most of his career working on collaborative creator-owned projects. His first such collaboration was in 2006 when Brian teamed with writer Cullen Bunn to create the Prohibition-era, monster-noir, cult classic The Damned. A few years later, the two teamed up again to create The Sixth Gun, a weird-west, epic supernatural fantasy. Brian also contributes to the popular webcomic Table Titans, in which he is the writer and artist of the stories “Whispers of Dragons” and “Road to Embers.”

Christopher Crank (crank!) has lettered a bunch of books put out by Image, Dark Horse, Oni Press, Dynamite, and elsewhere. He also has a podcast with comic artist Mike Norton and members of Four Star Studios in Chicago (crankcast.com), and makes music (sonomorti.bandcamp.com). Tyler Crook is a comic book artist and illustrator. For over two decades, he has worked as a comics creator, artist, and 3D modeler in the video game industry. Released in 2011, Petrograd was Tyler’s first published comic and earned Tyler the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award. Since then, he has worked on dozens of comics titles including B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth, Witchfinder, Bad Blood, and The Sixth Gun. In 2016, Harrow County, the horror comic he created with Cullen Bunn, was nominated for an Eisner Award for Best New Series, and his Comixology Original book, Stone King, was nominated for Best Digital Comic in 2019. Tyler lives in rural Oregon with his wonderful spouse and many terrible pets

Brian Churilla is a veteran comics writer and cartoonist. He’s worked on such titles as Hellboy, Godzilla, Big Trouble in Little China, The Avengers, and Plants vs Zombies, as well as many creator-owned books, most notably, The Secret History of D.B. Cooper, which he wrote, drew, and colored himself. Past clients include Marvel Comics, Dark Horse, IDW, Boom Studios, Image Comics, and Oni Press.
