Early and Squirrelly are two cute little squirrels who live on Mr. Jones' farm. They are curious and love to have fun Like all squirrels they like to drop acorns on the rooftops to make extra noise. Early and Squirrelly do everything they can to get involved in the activities in the barn.

Fred Vonderlage has always told stories . . . for years he told them while he was a professor of history. He told many biblical stories to his children as they grew up. He told stories to his congregation so they would learn more about the life of Jesus Christ, their Lord and Savior. He also told stories because he was a creative dad. The Early and Squirrelly storybook originated because, like many children, Kris's younger brothers loved creative bed-time stories . . . the stories told by dad. Enjoy your Early and Squirrelly storybook. When Mr. Vonderlage was in his early '80's, his daughter thought it would be fun to have him write down this story so it could be shared with more children. She then offered to illustrate and publish it for him. . . thus, the beginning of the Early and Squirrelly series.
