I feel relieved on one hand that the truth of my past abuse was served raw and distasteful, but horrified that the details of each tear, scar, stabbing pain of reality was unleashed and freed to stare me down with suppurate eyes. How does one digest rape for lunch, sexual assault for brunch and domestic abuse for supper?
