Tommy's Gift is about a boy named Tommy Trand, who often feels left out and is bullied by the other kids at school. Tommy has a childhood friend, Betty Bend, who is very popular. Her birthday is coming up and has invited her friends from school, including Tommy. The other school children go to the mall with lots of money to buy their gifts for Betty, but unfortunately Tommy doesn't have any money to buy something, so instead comes up with another idea for a gift to bring to Betty's birthday party.A story teaching children that you don't need money to buy big and expensive gifts for someone, it's the thought behind the gift that counts.
