Queenie is a lonely and sad young girl who faces a monster at home, mean kids at school and a mentally ill mother.

She tries everything she can think of to be perfect so she doesn't upset the monster but he still finds reasons to hurt her.

Queenie feels completely hopeless until one day she sees another kid crying and together they discover they don't have to be alone anymore.

"A few years ago a friend and I were talking about our rough childhoods and I said, 'Wouldn't it have been cool if we knew each other then? It wouldn't have changed things at home but at least we wouldn't have been alone.' My friend agreed. After that Queenie's story was born.

I want kids who have struggles at home to know you are worthy of love just the way you are and you are not alone. And I want adult children who are survivors to also know that it is possible to reconnect with our inner child, heal and find peace."
